Presuppositions of the NLP
- There is no substitute for clean and open sensorial channels.
- The meaning of the communication is the answer we obtain.
- The resistance of the client is an indicator of the inflexibility of the communicator.
- Each person has all the necessary resources to make the changes he desires.
- The map is not the territory.
- A person’s positive effort is always constant, while the value and adjusting of the inner and/or outer conduct could be dubious.
- The person with a greater variety of alternatives is the one who has the control.
- There are not failures in the communication, only in the results.
- Every individual has 2 levels of communication: conscious and unconscious.
- The intention of each conduct is always positive.
- All the distinctions that we, as human beings, are able to realise - related with our inner and outer world and our conduct - can be represented in a correct way through the visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, smell and taste systems (Robert Dilts, PNL vol. 1).
- Rapport in the meeting of an individual with his model of the world.
